Atty. Lapid has extensive expertise in the areas of real estate acquisition, civil, commercial, and labor litigation, as well as corporate structuring and establishment. He has successfully managed high-value claims, land possession recovery cases, real estate acquisitions and negotiations, incorporation of both domestic and international corporations, and a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters.
His professional experience includes serving as an associate at one of the leading law firms in Makati City where he handled multi-million insurance claims, civil and criminal litigation, and inter country claims and alliances, among others, and as in-house litigation counsel for a prominent real estate conglomerate, where he specialized in business development and land litigation. Additionally, he has worked with a multi-specialty real estate development company, further enhancing his legal proficiency in the real estate sector.
Atty. Lapid earned his Juris Doctor degree from San Beda University, Mendiola, Manila, where he distinguished himself as a skilled debater, representing the institution in the Square Off The Firm Debates, a prestigious legal debate in the Oregon-Oxford format broadcasted by the ABS-CBN News Channel. He also held the position of Vice President of Research for the Law Debate Circle. Moreover, Atty. Lapid was selected as one of the top students in the Philippines to intern at the Office of the Solicitor General (Batch XVI: Banyuhay), a distinguished opportunity that further honed his legal acumen.
Prior to his legal studies, Atty. Lapid completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at the University of Asia and the Pacific, a highly respected business school in the Philippines. He was also selected to represent his university at the Spikes Asia: Festival of Creativity in Singapore, a premier conference for leading marketers in Asia.
At present, Atty. Lapid’s practice focuses on multi-million-peso civil claims, real estate transactions, corporate structuring, establishment, and negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, annulment cases, and commercial litigation. His areas of specialization also encompass civil, criminal, labor, and corporate litigation, business compliance, immigration law, and the settlement of estates.
