Atty. Nezila May M. David (“Atty. David”) is a dedicated legal professional with a strong academic foundation and practical experience in litigation, legal research, and case management. She earned her Juris Doctor (Thesis Program) from New Era University in Quezon City, where she demonstrated exemplary leadership by serving in various capacities within the College of Law Student Council. She culminated her law school leadership journey as Chairperson of the Executive Board for Bar Operations in 2023, after previously serving as Vice President, Secretary/Adjutant, and First Year Representative.
Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Legal Management, also from New Era University. During her undergraduate years, she was recognized as an Academic Scholar, received the Academic Excellence Award for NSTP-LTS, and earned distinction as Best in Debate in Argumentation and Debate.
Before joining Lapid and Counsels Law Office, Atty. David practiced as an Associate Lawyer at the Atty. Shain Ann C. Castillo-Balanay Law Office in San Fernando, Pampanga, from 2023 to 2026. Her legal experience includes handling diverse legal matters, preparing pleadings and legal opinions, conducting legal research, and representing clients before courts and government agencies.
She likewise completed her legal internship with the Office of the Ombudsman in Diliman, Quezon City, where she gained valuable exposure to public service, administrative investigations, and government legal processes.
